At Freewheel, we are bringing roller skating back to life in a way that feels bigger than just an event. It is about connection, movement, and creating something meaningful within our community.
What started as a vision between two sisters has grown into something powered by people. Today, Freewheel operates with the help of an incredible network of volunteers from both the roller skating world and communities across Colorado. Their energy, passion, and dedication are what make every event possible. If you have ever been part of a Freewheel skate, you have felt it.
Want to be part of it? Check out our Volunteer Page below to get involved.
We host high-energy pop-up roller skating experiences that transform everyday spaces into unforgettable skate environments. From fairgrounds and city events to private parties and corporate activations, we create spaces where all ages and skill levels can show up, have fun, and be part of something.
But Freewheel is more than events.
Through Freewheel, we launched our nonprofit, Freewheel Movement, to bring skating directly into schools. Our two-week PE takeover program teaches students how to skate while building confidence, coordination, and community. Each program ends with a skate party celebration, giving students a chance to showcase what they have learned and experience the joy of skating together.
This is how we create impact that lasts beyond the rink.
And we are just getting started.
Our long-term vision is to establish a permanent roller skating venue in the Longmont area. A place where the community can gather year-round. A place where skating, connection, and joy have a home. If you are inclined to help build our vision we are always taking donations to the cause here.
Until then, we will keep showing up, popping up, and rolling forward with the community that makes it all possible.
This is Freewheel.
